Summer Solitude

"Human a social person, which means human is able to be alive by the help of other human. But sometimes, the thing that we need is a solitary moment. The bubble space we keep blowing to create gap between each other step without hurting each other. "

I am sitting by the harbor bridge, sipping the air of loneliness by the time the sun over my eyes. The sun dress is blown by the breeze yet the loneliness is never go away. People strangles their ego and pride, they are dangling over their neck with a bling bling in glittering mocker. While me, sitting alone at the nearest harbor in my city.

 

People will not understand the way i am thinking. The feeling of overwhelming joy i feel at the time the birds fly, the wave dances, and the breeze sings. They may think I am unique, but yeah, I am who i am.

 

I wander by the wooden bridge above the sea. The soft delicate feelings when the wood touches my barefoot is a sweet moment. Mostly, many women spend their time with the heels on their feet. A pair of glamour shining high heels. They will not know the feeling of being barefoot. The freedom of life. I see every one of them cynical, but the smile cling on my face.

The sun kisses my skin. The wave is waving sweetly at me.

This is how summer should be. Not being bother with the gray gloomy sky.

 

Smile. Smile. Smile sincerely :)

Illustration Cafe : Ahoy Greetings Card

Hello guys!
Happy holiday, it's gonna be a long weekend for us (in Indonesia i mean :D )


Surely, last month is a very berry busy month! It's even hard for me to take a breath...
So many projects and events to attend. But I'm glad those were over.
I have told you about Sunday Market : Hippieland, right? It was such a grand event! I will post about sunday market later~

Now, I want to show you about my clients orders on greetings card. They have been keeping me happy and busy at the same time :D
I got a lot greetings card order, but I'll show you some of them with a background story of their greetings card xD

Mama Rose

 This is made for a lovely family to the mother. Their mom likes roses. 
That's why the greetings card is spoiled with red rose.
I made like a little rose field at the scrapbook page, and yeah she really likes it :D

Yaay, he is a choir boy. He looks cute with a hair like tintin!



The Science Vintage

He is a boy in SHS. He dreams to be in science school. 
He also likes vintage stuff, the gramophone is one of the stuff xD



The Zombie Couple

Let me introduce you... the zombie boy was trying to express his eternal love for their eternal zombie relationship. The girl also loves him. Let us hope this relationship will be last immortal.

New Brand: Illustration Cafe

Hello guys :)

First of all, Happy Eid el Adha for those who are celebrating!

I am calling all the young fiery people in Surabaya. Have you heard about the biggest flea market in town? You should have heard it, because it is an amazing event. Let me introduce you to the "Hippieland: Sunday Market" in Surabaya Town Square :D

In this early saturday morning, let me take you into a magical place in Surabaya. 
What is it? Library? 
Not just a library, this is magical library !

Established in mid-2008, C2O is a small public library and creative space located in the heart of Surabaya, with a small but growing collection of fine & selected books (fiction & non-fiction) and audio-visual items. Currently we house more than 4000 books in English and Indonesian focusing on literature, history, and the arts, various comics & graphic novels and more than 900 rare and classic films in the history of cinema along with its literature.

C2O library was founded in 2008 by Kathleen Azali. She is a superwoman~
Back to her library, unlike any library in Surabaya, C2O Library is painted in bright and warm colors! The atmosphere is not like ordinary boring library, but dynamic cheerful library :D

Okay now, let's get in~

From the outside, we may not see the sign or board of C2O Library, but when we take a look we can see cute accessories hanging on the front door. Inside of the library we see a lot of books (of course~), but the books are awesome! The knowledge here is overwhelming. There are lot of book's genre in this lovely library. Books here are varies, design,history, philosophy, literature, story books, magazines, comics, even food magazine :D

 

 

Books are arranged in alphabets, by the date, and also type. We can see rare books, foreign publisher, very old books, etc. Once, I saw a book published in 1914, and it was in a very good shape XD

See see? How lovely this place could be..

Not only books, but this library has a huge collection of foreign indie movies.

After books, movies, C2O Library also open for private events, and awesome events!

Why did I say private event? Because you can arrange your own event for public in this library, such as exhbition, screening, etc. 

C2o also has tea collection, delicious teas~

So yeah, great books and great teas! What do you can ask more to be high culture enough :D

This is a great public space, you can meet people, you can do assignment, you can read books, you can watch movie, and have fun :D I never seen such a place like this lovely library before, and when I found this place, I was like "OMG, this place is so cuteee!!!" 

Yeah, I am so obsessive with everything tagged with cute :3

After all, C2O Library is always been a magical place in this concrete jungle of Surabaya. C2O Library is offering us more than just knowledge, but also great atmosphere. A place to relax, a place to share, and a place to have fun.

Carpentier Kitchen

Good day for everyone :)


Unlike the other Saturday dining with my dearest friend, last night we chose a new cafe named by Carpentier Kitchen. I recommend the place, so we headed to that place instantly.

Here is our lovely destination :

As we reach that place, I was amazed by the oldish and warm interior of the store, 
and yes, Carpentier Kitchen is inside of Ore Store. Hundreds of lovely apparels were lining on the rack. Such a place with overwhelming high fashion. I cannot resist to see the cute shoes, or even men and women tops.

Keep walking over the sweet outfits hallways, next we will see the beautiful backyard in the 20s. The pastel looking space with a warm vintage feeling, and the smell of good food too! 

Yeah, this is Carpentier Kitchen.

We were welcoming by the elegant vintage door knob, I am excited to see those beautiful old time living together again. The lovely backyard with cute furnitures are stunning :)

Such a lovely atmosphere, right? :D

Definitely, Carpentier Kitchen is the most favourite cafe on my list.

After we find a place to sit, we were ordering some dish and beverages. Back to the first I was here, I was ordering chocolate milkshake (which is my all time favourite), and the legendary Ultimate Burger. But last night, we were ordering, chocolate milkshake (always~), banana milkshake, strawberry milkshake, hot chocolate, cheese fries, and fried rice. All of them was great, great price great taste! Never felt disappointed when I visit this lovely backyard :)

Their appearances were just as lovely as they taste :D

The other thing I love about Carpentier Kitchen menu is they decorate the beverages and also dishes beautifully, what a great finishing garnish.

We enjoy everything here. The cozy atmosphere was making us to stay longer and longer. We were talking, playing cards, and etc. After this is a very lovely place :)

And yes, time set to 10 p.m. It's already night so we have to go home. Such an interesting kitchen. This place is a very recommended place for all who loves warm and cozy atmosphere. Bring along you best friend, or even your lover ;)

Tanjung Laut

It's been a busy day for me, college is getting busier and busier. Not only that, much opportunity seems to tap on my shoulder, which means good signs for me :D
Another BONTANG picture for you guys :)
The sweet peaceful town of mine.

This is Tanjung Laut, one of the harbor in Bontang. The busy harbor, boats, fishermen, and people. Such a lovely place to chill out, and find boat for your vacation too :D

Basically, it looks like a simple harbor, but to me it looks so beautiful :)

Bontang is a little town that surrounded by water, yes we do have a lot of water around us :D

Friend of mine was asking me whether we have to travel in the town by boat, but for your information, we do have roads .___.

Scrapbook Greetings Card

Happy sunday morning guys :)

In this lovely weekend, I finished another order of greetings card. 

It was a birthday card also an anniversary card. The client contacted me to create a cute scrapbook theme card. So, I have a new idea, instead of putting pop up chibi head inside. 

The size is smaller with the previous card, but still cute :3

I make the cover with my latest illustration.I want the cover to be simple, but lovely :)

Inside of the card, you can see my other illustration. The picture is in emboss :D

The next page, you can see a simple attachment of paper.

 Open it and you will see more surprises :)

Yep, under the attachment paper you will see letter and the scrapbook part :D

I made them with real bow, stickers, and pictures. 

I love how the scrapbook turned out, they are look so cute! XD

So, this is the whole greetings card. I kinda satisfied with the look.

I think I can achieve the little scrapbook theme in this greetings card, that's why I am excited~

The client told me that it was very cute too xD
